Toubkal and Tazaghart Trek of 3 Days
Overview :
While you are visiting Morocco and the red city of Marrakech , come and climb highest summit in North Africa ,jbel Toubkal at an altitude of 4167m! Our “Express” route will lead you to the top exploring tow main valleys of the Atlas mountains such as the Azzaden and Tazaghart You will avoid the busy and too trekked classical route and the “up and down” by the same Path !
Trek itinerary :
Day1:
Marrakech – Imlil – Tazaghart Refuge
Altitude gain: 1700m; loss: 300m.


Early morning, you will met your guide and drive to Imlil where our trek start at 1700m. We assit the packing of our luggage on our mules and start our trek heading west to climb the Tizi Mezzik. On the top of the pass, you will have a first flavour of the amazing views of the Atlas Mountains. After a rewarding pause with dried fruits and fresh water, we carry on our ascent via the Azib n’Tamsoult and superb waterfalls. The path gets steeper as we approach our refuge for the night at 3100m.
Day2:
Tazaghart – Toubkal Base Camp
Altitude, gain: 550m; loss: 500m.


A steep morning walk to climb the Tizi Aguelzim (3650 m), you will enjoy the first sight of the imposing peak of Mount Toubkal, our menu for the next day! After a good pause, a quick downhill path will lead us towards the refuge Neltner where you will spend the night at (3200 m).
Day3:
Base Camp – Toubkal – Marrakech
Altitude, gain: 1200m; loss: 2650m


A very early start to climb the summit of mount Toubkal, and why not assist to sun rise over the Atlas Mountains! On top, the superb scenery extending to the Sahara south and magnificent high peaks contrasting with flat low planes north is really breath taking. We start our long way downhill and join the Ouawgant Valley. We reach our last lunch spot at Aremd before the last steps to get to our minibus in Imlil 1700m. After farewells to our Berber team and the Atlas, a 2 hours transfer to your hotel in Marrakech.

♦ This is the high level classic style of trekking also known as camping (fully organized treks) supplying all camping equipments (sleeping, kitchen, dining and toilet tents etc) along with the food and cooker will prepare hot meals with attention towards variety and hygiene and nutrition to serve you.
